Director of Boundary Surveying and Mapping

Original Survey Solutions (OSS) has hired Dean Jurado, PLS, to lead the expansion of the firm's boundary surveying and mapping practice. In his role as Director of Boundary Surveying and Mapping, Dean is strengthening the firm’s in-house capabilities for ALTA/NSPS surveys, legal descriptions, records of survey, parcel and final maps, and other services supporting land development and entitlement projects throughout California and the Western U.S.

Widely known throughout California’s construction, engineering and surveying community, Jurado brings more than 40 years of experience in public- and private-sector projects. Licensed in California and Oregon, he has deep expertise in boundary resolution, municipal survey review, subdivision mapping and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys. Over the course of his career, he has served as on-call city surveyor for numerous Bay Area jurisdictions and provided on-call county surveyor services for Alameda and Sacramento counties.

Jurado's addition represents a major step in the firm's continued evolution from primarily a construction staking and field-focused surveying company into a broader full-service surveying and consulting engineering organization. His impact is already being felt; OSS was recently selected to serve as City Surveyor for Monte Sereno, California, further expanding the firm's portfolio of municipal clients.
